Quick Facts

FOLC was founded in 2006. We have been advocating to preserve and revitalize the Lafitte Corridor and adjacent neighborhoods via the creation of a greenway. Read about our mission.

The City of New Orleans has contracted with Design Workshop to plan, design and construct a greenway in the Lafitte Corridor.

Near-final planning documents by Design Workshop for the Lafitte Greenway now available

Dear Greenway supporters and enthusiasts,

Near-final planning documents by Design Workshop for the Lafitte Greenway and the Lafitte Corridor Revitalization Plan are now available for download on the City’s project website: http://www.lafittecorridorconnection.com/project-documents.html

The revised documents — “Greenway Master Plan” and the “Lafitte Corridor Revitalization Plan” — are located at the top of this webpage under the heading “Draft Plan Documents.” Each of these two documents has been divided into three parts for download. Earlier drafts of these documents, as well as additional planning material and documentation of Existing Conditions, are also available for download further down the page.

Please note that you can offer comments on all these documents directly to the project team by clicking the “SEND US YOUR COMMENTS” box on the right-hand side of the page. We encourage you to do so!

We eagerly await the City’s announcement of the third and final round of public meetings, at which these revised plans will be presented for final comment. We anticipate that these meetings will be scheduled early this fall.

Stay tuned and help shape the future of the Lafitte Greenway and Lafitte Corridor.

Thank you,
FOLC
